The Customer's Story
This Canadian manufacturer holds one to two tenth tolerances thanks to its engineering ingenuity—and some help from STUDER cylindrical grinders. When you can find a manufacturing supplier that doesn’t shy away from your most demanding requirements, you tend to stick with them. That’s been the story at Ontario Drive & Gear Limited (ODG) since its founding in 1962.
Based in New Hamburg, Ontario, present-day ODG is an ultra-high precision manufacturing operation that specializes in parallel axis gears and shafts up to 1 meter in length and 500 mm in diameter. The company also makes parts for its sister company, Argo XTV, a high- end manufacturer of all-terrain amphibious vehicles.
