Reducing non-productive time on the grinding machine is critical. This can cover many features and mean different things to each customer. United Grinding has always been a leader in reducing non-productive time on grinding machines. We offer different options for our customers which include building machines where in process gauging may not be required, Universal or multi-tasking approach, utilizing CBN or SG grinding wheels in place of conventional abrasives, rotary dressers in place of single point, offline software to help create the programs, grinding one part while programming the next and storing the programs and wheel shapes within the CNC.

Other features include automatic doors, post-sale support including 24/7 service center, and an integral or separate pick and place load and unload unit. On some of our Studer models we offer a unique automated package. This unit called the "Easyload" allows for shafts to be loaded and unload in minimal amount of time and without operator intervention. The adjustments allow for quick setup and change-over. The other advantage is it keeps part specific tooling costs to a minimum.
