The new Mägerle Modular System really does earn its name. Already the smallest Mägerle machine offered, there are a great number of various configurations to choose from, depending on the application. The compact and symmetrical gantry design, together with ball screws and wide spaced linear roller bearings for all axes, ensures high static, dynamic and thermal stability. The movements of the 3 main axes are accomplished by the machine table. This allows for the installation of various grinding heads, on the same machine base. Whether it be horizontal, vertical or inclineable spindles. Loading parts on the machine can be done manually or automatically, from all four sides. Therefore integration of several machines can be easily realized. The latest variation of this modular machine includes a stationary vertical motor spindle with integrated tool changer. With the maximal tool dimensions of 300 x 60 x 76,2, the number of tools is limited to 5 at the changer and 1 at the spindle. A reliable HSK-A 100 spindle nose offers rigidity and precision needed for close tolerance parts with high surface finish requirements. The spindle also allows coolant flow at max. 80 bar through the spindle center to suit milling and drilling operations aside from grinding.
