After 25 challenging years in which he helped drive United Grinding's Tool Division from a small operation housed in a shed to a multi-million dollar player in the grinding industry, Rick Martin has decided he needs a break. We're certainly sorry to see Rick depart the company and we wish him only the best for the future.

On the other hand, we're also very pleased to announce the promotion of Markus Stolmar to General Manager of United Grinding's Tool Division. In his new role, Markus will have overall P&L responsibility for this Division including its sales, applications engineering, product management, and project management functions. Markus' distinguished career has encompassed production management as well as both sales and engineering for tool grinding, measuring, and erosion. Most recently, Markus has served as the National Sales Manager for the Tool Division. Markus has the experience, energy, and judgment necessary to lead the Division to continued success and ensuring its future growth objectives are achieved.

Of course that success depends on how well we serve you. And we'll serve you well! First, we have the same dedicated and experienced team you've come to trust, year after year. Second, we'll continue to lead the industry in developing the kinds of products and services you need to be competitive, as demonstrated by our recent annoucements regarding new tool grinding software features, new edge prep measuring capabilities, and new solutions for manufacturing orthopedic implants.
