NIMS is the Big Winner in IMTS Charity Auction!
United Grinding auctioned the newest CNC grinding machine from Studer, the favoritCNC, during the IMTS show in September. The auction was held to benefit the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). NIMS sets the standards for worker education and training in the metalworking industry and is dedicated to ensuring the American workforce has the skills and knowledge required to successfully compete in this challenging global market. United Grinding recognizes the importance of the NIMS mission and seeks to provide support for this worthy organization.
The auctioned grinding machine was painted by international airbrush artist Philipp Klopfenstein during the IMTS show in Chicago, resulting in a one-of-a-kind favoritCNC cylindrical grinder. The artwork features the American flag and several Bald Eagles. The auction enabled United Grinding to raise $40,000 for NIMS. Other organizations or individuals interested in supporting NIMS can find more information at www.nims-skills.org.
